I am very happy to be a part of a fun and worthwhile event tomorrow: The 77Kids Do Good Day! 77kids is the American Eagle clothes store for kids and there are new locations opening up around the country, including one in my own backyard: Cherry Hill, NJ!

So 77kids set out to enlist 77 bloggers to join together (through the fab ladies at The Motherhood) and we’re all going to “Do Good” tomorrow in a bunch of different cities. Since the Cherry Hill store is opening at the end of this month & I am a “local” I was picked to be on the Cherry Hill team, yay! And I will be joining some other bloggers at the Garden State Discovery Museum tomorrow from 2-5 PM. Let me just run through the 5 W’s so I make sure I get all the important facts out in case you want to stop by! (Yes, please stop by!!)
Who: A team of 77kids bloggers from the area, including me, Liz from This Full House, Monica from Paper Bridges, Shannon from Mom Improvement & Julie from The Other Boufs
What: We’ll have a stationery station set up to make personal notes of thanks to our soldiers and veterans for Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude sends care packages to members of the military who are deployed overseas. And can you believe what they need most of all? Personal letters or cards from people just like us just saying “thanks” or expressing your appreciation. How much time would it take just to write one letter? We’ll provide everything for you (and crayons for the little ones) to write a note and we’ll take care of the rest. And we’ll have some refreshments and goodies as a thank you, too!
Where: The Garden State Discovery Museum on Springdale Road in Cherry Hill, NJ (which, if you haven’t been there before is a great–big–indoor playplace for kids, think tons of different stations with play equipment, dress up areas, pretend boats, cars, food, etc.) You don’t have to bring your little ones or pay to attend, you can just stop by, see us our happy faces, do your good deed for the day & be on your way!
When: From 2-5
Why: Because it’s an easy way to brighten the life of a soldier or veteran and show that you care!
I hope you’ll be able to stop by and check it out, but even if you can’t why not get in the spirit and do an extra good deed tomorrow?
Disclosure: the “how” is that this event is being sponsored by 77kids. I am being compensated for my time in participating in this project and sharing my experiences with you. All opinions are mine.

Unfortunately I’ll be working tomorrow and not in the area but I wanted to let you know what a fantastic idea this is and it will be much appreciated by the soldiers who receive the notes. My husband just came back from his second deployment and he said mail is the one thing when all else fails that keeps them going over there.
