We are at the shore for a couple weeks again, this time Marc is taking some actual days off from work (instead of commuting from here) and we’re celebrating of course the 4th of July, but also both of our b-days!
While we’re here I also have Buddie Love in tow, and I’m documenting our travel together for a project called Holiday Roads. The Holiday Roads website is showcasing summer doggie road trips, sponsored by Collective Bias and Bergan. Bergan makes pet products, including pet travel products like this car safety harness:
As part of my series with B-Love, I picked up the harness at Wal-mart (not even $20 for a Large!) and pretty much immediately packed the family in the car to head to the beach house (we had tried a couple other stores, but ended up finding the harness in the nick of time at the Cherry Hill store). What I didn’t really get to do was read the directions (kind of “skimmed”) so here is some video I took of Buddie with the harness on:
While we were driving Buddie had some freedom (to steal Rayna’s french fries) but was not able to try to climb in my lap. Because YES he does try to jump all 60+ lbs into my lap when I’m driving, which is certainly distracting and not safe! The only thing was I didn’t fit the harness to him properly because this is what he looked like when we got there:
Once I actually looked at the instructions, I was able to see that fitting the dog with the harness will take a couple of minutes, but once it’s fitted to his body properly it should only take seconds to get on him each subsequent time. So when I get it right I’ll be sure to shoot another video, I just don’t want to do it yet and get him psyched to go for a car ride, when really we’re just hanging out with family now & enjoying the beach.
So stay tuned for more of our adventures with Buddie Love here at the shore–I’m going to have some fun random giveaways, which should be exciting! Also, if you are going on a road trip this summer, you can add your story to the Holiday Roads site as well! Just click here to visit HolidayRoads.info

Ooo Sarah told me you got this for Buddie! I’ll need a much smaller size for Little Caesar of course but I like that they can move around a bit and are still safe at the same time!! Hope you’re having fun at the shore!!!
