These two little cuties (hey, they wouldn’t both smile for a picture…that’d be asking too much!) 😉 have been passed out cold for a few hours and my house is in the predictable shambles of a Christmas toy explosion, but I wanted to jump on and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
We’ve been having the usual whirlwind of family get-togethers and things to get done, but one thing that stands out as being extra special for us this year was taking part in one night of our church’s living nativity. In the wise men scene Marc played Joseph, I played Mary and little Marc played “toddler Jesus”. It was very cold the night we were in it (our scene was outdoors) but we had a great time and were blessed to give back to the community in that way.
We also got to experience the usual joys that parents of small children get to experience this time of year–the magic in their little hearts is priceless to see. I still don’t believe in the Elf, but we “do” Santa and we had two different breakfasts with Santa and while Rayna was super shy, Marc would go right up to him and just start spouting off one word requests, like “dinosaur” and then “truck!” lol
So I’m a little sad that Christmas is over and I feel like all of the fun and indulgence of the holidays turns into strict resolutions at New Year’s (at least for the first couple weeks at least) 😉 but I hope you all enjoy the rest of the holiday with your loved ones.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! <3
