Welcome to Queen Mother Blog! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

This sort of thing is right up my alley, and I wanted to pass it along! This Saturday is Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day, where you can get into a participating museum for FREE. All you have to do is visit this site to check out the museums in your area and print your ticket. The ticket is required so don’t show up without it!
There’s some great ones available in Philly (like the Academy of Natural Sciences) and even the Old Barracks Museum in Trenton.
Thanks to my friend Rachael at Microsoft Office 2010 for passing this on to me (they’re one of the Museum Day sponsors)!

This Saturday, May 22 there will be an Alice in Wonderland themed tea party at T-Bar in Philly. There will be free (iced) tea & cookies and the chance to win some fun prizes, including the DVD (Alice releases on DVD and Blu-Ray on Tuesday, June 1). The event on Saturday is from 12-2 PM. Click here to view the invitation
If you aren’t familiar, this Alice is Wonderland is the new version starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter & directed by Tim Burton. I haven’t seen this version yet, but I love Tim Burton stuff, so I’m interested in checking it out.
We have a lot going on this Saturday, so I’m not sure I’ll make it, but I’m going to try! I just thought I’d pass this on since I know a great many Disney fans & it sounds like a great, free family event in the city.
If you’re going, let me know in the comments!

I have lots of military friends and readers so I wanted to pass this on in case it applies to you and you didn’t already know about it! Anheuser-Busch is offering a free admission to one of their theme parks for members of the military and up to three direct dependents.
This applies to one visit at an Anheuser-Busch park (this includes SeaWorld Orlando, San Diego, or San Antonio; Busch Gardens Tampa Bay or Williamsburg; Sesame Place; Adventure Island or Water Country USA)
Click here to visit their website and register for your free visit!
Thanks to The Happy Housewife!
